COVID-19
Throughout these past several years of stress and uncertainty, the Cornerstone Psychology Team has strived to balance the increased demand for psychological services and the importance of maintaining health and safety.
In accordance with the College of Psychologists of Ontario guidelines, we are continuing to offer tele-psychology services, whenever possible. Your individual clinician can inform you if the service you are seeking is available via tele-psychology.
Payments for all services are to be made electronically—both for convenience and to minimize contact. For more information about what payment methods we accept, please see our FAQs.
There are certain services that cannot be provided remotely. In the case where in-person services are required:
Clients who are presenting with cold or flu-like symptoms are asked to reschedule or switch to a virtual appointment (when possible).
Clients are encouraged to sanitize their hands upon entry to the reception area.
Clients and clinicians are no longer required to wear masks. If you would prefer to wear a mask, you are encouraged to communicate this preference to your clinician prior to your appointment.
Social distancing is encouraged when possible. Our treatment rooms and reception area are large enough to do so.
Clients are requested to attend sessions alone. We please ask that child clients be accompanied by only one parent, when possible, in order to limit the number of individuals in the reception area.
Each office is equipped with hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes and spray. The office facilities will be sanitized throughout the day and, particularly, between clients.
Your clinician will continue to monitor the Public Health guidelines and inform you if there is a disruption or suspension of in-person services.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep everyone safe and healthy.
